Gunaseelan Kannan is a Licensed Financial Advisor and Licensed Financial Planner. He has a Bachelor of Science degree from Universiti Putra Malaysia and a Master in Business Administration (Finance) from Multimedia University, Malaysia.

Guna is currently pursuing his PhD in Universiti Putra Malaysia and has always had an interest in the Financial Literacy and Financial Technology spheres. Currently, Guna is working with one of Malaysia’s leading education entity, where he is developing a Fintech programme and is selected as one of the participants in Fintech Extrapreneurship competition organised by the Centre for Finance, Technology and Entrepreneurship, located in London.

Guna also served on the panel for the Finance Accreditation Agency, an independent quality assurance and accreditation body supported by Bank Negara Malaysia.

He has been invited as a speaker at various industry forums, on personal finance, financial planning, financial literacy and financial wellbeing. He was also frequent guest speaker for BFM radio webinar, Malaysian Associated Indian Chambers of Commerce and Industry and other organizations.

He is the columnist for Money Matters in The Borneo Post. He was also featured in The Star daily newspaper. Guna wrote many financial articles for several local newspapers, magazines and academic journals.

His passion and vast knowledge in financial planning has garnered him numerous awards from relevant industry parties.
