Thanga is the executive director in Blueprint Planning since 2012. He joined the financial planning industry in 2007.He is a Licensed Financial Planner with Securities Commission since 2007 and Financial Advisor Representative with Bank Negara since 2013.
Thanga started his career as trained teacher in 1992. In 1993, he embarked into financial service industry as an insurance agent. He completed Chartered Financial Planner (ChFP) and Registered Financial Planner (RFP) in 2004. In December 2015, he became a Certified Financial Planner (CFP). He completed his Islamic Financial Planner certification (IFP) in 2019. He has been writing wills and trust since 2000 and started Unit Trust Consultancy in 2006.
In Blueprint he has been the top planner who writes the most number of comprehensive Financial Plan.
Thanga was recognized as the second highest top scorer in Malaysian Financial Planners Year Award (MFPYA) at national level competition in 2015. Again in 2017 and 2018 he emerged as second runner up in MFPYA award. In 2018 he represented Malaysia to compete for Global Financial Planner Yearly Award at Asia level. Again he emerged as 1st runner up in 2020 MFPYA.
Thanga was interviewed several time in BFM’s Ringgit Ring-In, handling public’s financial related questions. He also gave his view on current personal financial issues.
Thanga featured in numerous ASTRO morning talk shows on various topics involving financial planning. He was engaged to give financial tips over RTM radio continuously for 6 months on weekly basis.
He is also one of the panel speakers on TV and in the Financial Planning Symposiums on the subject of financial planning. He is frequently interviewed for magazines like 4Ejournal (FPAM) and Focus Malaysia. He has been a panel speaker in financial planning conventions and symposiums. He is continuously educating individuals and SME’s through financial literacy webinars.
He is a strong advocator of holistic financial planning. He is passionate in helping his clients to achieve their life goals with COMPREHENSIVE financial planning. Most of his clients are SME owners and high net worth individuals.
